Perfect location for us. Hotel a bit worn but old building so can be tolerated.
Friendly helpful staff. Comfy beds.
Shower a bit tricky.
The breakfast staff could not manage the large group of people on the first day. The whole hotel is dated and could use a make over, all the chairs being the same in the restaurant might help. Having the heating on when it is frosty outside would be a good idea.
No elevator, which can create a problem for some people. But staff was happy to help with the luggage. They did a nice job on a made-to-order breakfast. Very accommodating staff. Stayed one night. Not a chain hotel, which was nice.
Helpful staff, and good custom breakfast, if wanted.
Very friendly welcome, breakfast was very high standard and the staff were superb.location, as there for Tewkesbury festival, was spot on.bar had lovely atmosphere everywhere was spotless and the hotel is a beautiful building
Room on the ground floor so windows opened out on to a court yard where the smokers gathered so inevitably the smoke found it's way into the room.also window open at night didn't feel that safe.not applicable to rooms on other floors.
A clean comfortable hotel friendly staff good breakfast , with a good choice of evening meals. As we arrived in early march rooms were warm . Would stay again.
Value for money, tidy and clean, and good location
We work all over the UK, and i thought the food was poor and let the place down. Bar staff during our stay, were very lax,
Needed somewhere to sleep because of M5 closure - booked at last minute and completely satisfied
lovely location ,lots of beams , good food ,
I enjoyed the relaxed atmoshphere and the friendliness of the staff
the food was great room very clean
i like the old feel and the look, the location of the hotel
the room was quite cold and there was leaking shower in my room hence i ticked poor on comfort
Quality of food in the restruant. Excellant breakfast.Wonderful setting.
I think the room price was a little high.
The Bell Hotel is in a great position central for Abbey and town and great for walkers.
Room 14 has a problem with a strong 'bad' smell but once we told reception they moved us - could have been difficult if all rooms full! The room apart from that was very clean and comfortable.
A comfortable hotel with good facilities the evening meal was very good but the breakfast could have been warmer
close to town centre clean & tidy staff friendly
